Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice

Sister Mary Catherine Redmond and Dubuque Justice Promoter Dave McDermott were honored to visit with students and staff from across the United States at the Ignation Family Teach-In for Justice this past weekend. The theme for this event was "Steadfast Hope in Precarious Times." 

Mary Catherine and Dave were also able to connect with students and staff from Presentation High School in San Jose, California. This school was begun by and is sponsored by the San Francisco Presentation Sisters. 

The Presentation mission of justice and equality for all is alive and well not only in our sisters, associates and partners in mission, but in thousands of students who attended this event, the largest annual Catholic social justice gathering in the United States. The Teach-In is a place for participants to be empowered, re-energized, inspired, challenged and supported by a community that sees faith and justice integrally linked.
