We are pleased to announce the recipients ofour Catholic school scholarships for the 2023-24schoolyear. Called to the New York area in 1874 toeducate Catholic children in Manhattan, our sistershave long held the belief that education is fundamentalto providing the tools to build a solid foundation for thefuture. Our foundress, Nano Nagle, also held this beliefas she educated young people in the lanes of Cork,Ireland, in the 1700s during the time of penal laws.We have carried on this tradition of Catholic education, serving as educators in Catholic schools in the regionfor well over 100 years. In recent years many of oursisters have been called to serve other areas of need, but our commitment to Catholic education is as strongas ever. To promote Catholic education and Catholicvalues in our youth, we are awarding Catholic school scholarships to help those in need to access a Catholiceducation.
