Ministry Grants Awarded

Each year to promote the mission and legacy of Nano Nagle we award ministry grants to our sisters and associates to further the work of addressing the needs of women and children, especially as they are impacted by economic, environmental and racial inequity. We have awarded the 2023 ministry grant allotment to the following:

• Sister Kathleen Treanor - Country Kids Food Pantry Washingtonville, New York
• Sister Gloria Perez - Deacon Jack Seymour Food Pantry Newburgh, New York
• Deborah Wright - St. Bernard’s Elementary School Fitchburg, Massachusetts
• Kenitha Grooms-Williams - Lantern Light Ministry New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Lantern Light seeks to provide hearty meals and healthy food options to the families and guests through the “Hearty Meals and Healthy Options” Program.
• Erin Regan - Boston College Roche Center for Catholic Education Boston, Massachusetts
  • Program to educate high school students against human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation and motivate them to be agents of change in their communities.
• Dr. Donaldo Batiste - University of Holy Cross-Research Institute for a Quality and Equitable Education New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Project identifying current challenges in the New Orleans school system and working with schools to bring about changes to policy, procedures and/or protocols to improve the quality of education for all students. Project strives to combat social injustices and racial inequity in NOLA school system.​​​​​​​
