Sister Emery Duval, 96, known in secular life as Doris Duval, a Sister of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, died Thrusday June 29 at Presentation Convent in Leominster, MA.
Sister was born in Leominster on August 6, 1920, the daughter of Emery and Lillian (St. Germain) Duval.
She was a 1938 graduate of Leominster High School and entered the Sisters of the Presentation in 1942, professing her final vows in 1948.
Sister received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Catholic Teachers College in Rhode Island and was a certified elementary teacher in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Her teaching career included schools in the Worcester, Bridgeport, CT, Providence, RI, and Boston Dioceses.
Besides her Presentation Community, Sister Emery is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased be her parents, her sister, Ruth Conquest, and brothers, Leonard, Ronald, Roger, Wayne, Chester, Richard, and Francis.
